U.S. Motorcycle Coaching Association Partners With ChampSchool

TEMECULA, California (July 10, 2019) — With a shared vision for growing the sport of motorcycling through great coaching, the U.S. Motorcycle Coaching Association (USMCA) and Yamaha Champions Riding School’s (YCRS) ChampSchool have partnered to connect and certify coaches. Many existing Sport Bike coaches who are seeking USMCA Certification will benefit from the newly formed partnership as ChampSchool will focus on teaching and developing coaches.

“The USMCA is designed to validate the existing coaching network and help new and existing riders more easily find the coach nearest them. The process of building up coaches and training them in different techniques is where a partnership like this can help,” commented USMCA Executive Director Christy LaCurelle. “We are excited to announce this partnership and the opportunity it will bring in developing new coaching prospects.”

YCRS’s Chief Operating Officer and USMCA Coach Leader Keith Culver’s thoughts on the partnership, “Motorcycle coaching in America is still a bit like the wild west and we are pleased that the formation of the USMCA will formalize and professionalize coaching at all levels.  We are appreciative that our Champions Certified Coach (3C) program is being recognized as a legitimate path to motorcycle coaching not only for track coaches, but for Rider Coaches on the street as well.”

“A motorcycle instructor is often the first industry professional a new rider meets,” adds YCRS CEO Nick Ienatsch. “USMCA’s desire to elevate the quality and professionalism of rider coaches is why we are partnered with them. Coaching excellence is key in converting new riders to life-long riders.”

About ChampSchool & Champions Certified Coach (3C)

Champions Certified Coach (3C) is a certification program for riders that are track-day coaches, control riders, instructors, MSF-type Rider Coaches, or wish to become any of these. The program is designed to elevate the quality of coaching in the industry to a higher level. We want coaches to be able to formalize their ability to teach what the best riders in the world are doing. The certification also gives coaches the recognition they deserve for taking their education and their riding to the next level in a desire to pass along their knowledge to the greater community.
